15/10/2009 | Robert Kazinsky on the set of the Radox Be-Selfish viral campaign
Posted by: Neil

Following on from yesterday's story that appeared in The Sun, another article has been reported on a few news sites of Rob talking about the lack of acting roles in the UK. The article includes more details about the new Radox campaign he is taking part in.

The article reads:

Rob Kazinsky said he's struggled to find work in the UK since leaving EastEnders.

The actor was last seen in his role as bad boy Sean Slater at the beginning of the year, and has since only managed to work abroad.

Speaking from the set of a new viral for Radox, he said: "In this country it's been very difficult - there's no work going on here."

He continued: "The industry's ground to an absolute halt so I've been very fortunate to get the work I've got so far and am relishing it.

"I can't seem to buy a job here but seem to be doing OK elsewhere."

Since leaving the Walford soap, he has filmed some movie roles, and is penning two features and a Sex And The City-style TV series.

Asked whether he sees himself as more of a writer than actor, the 25-year-old said: "Do you have to put yourself in one bracket? It's the creative industry. I don't see any problem with directing, producing, writing, acting. It's all just one wonderful business. I've always enjoyed writing. I love it."

Rob is promoting the Radox Be-Selfish campaign, which encourages women to spend the extra hour from the clocks going back on themselves.

The actor said he plans to spend his extra hour "one hundred per cent asleep".

For the campaign Rob strips off and gets into a bath. See him bare all at www.be-selfish.co.uk from Monday October 19.

14/10/2009 | Rob speaks to The Sun's TV Biz about lack of acting work in the UK
Posted by: Neil

Robert Kazinsky has declared that it's "almost impossible" to get acting work in the UK.

The ex EastEnders star - who left the soap as bad boy Sean Slater last Christmas - says the only jobs he's got since quitting Albert Square have been abroad.

He told TV Biz: "I've only been offered reality and celebrity based TV here and that's not what I'm interested in doing.

"I think it's the market at the moment. There doesn't seem to be any work around.

"None of my actor friends are working, it's almost impossible. The work I've been doing has been more in other countries."

After his exit from Walford, the 25-year-old - currently promoting Radox's Be-Selfish campaign - filmed a small part for George Lucas' war film Red Tails and has secured a role in upcoming Irish TV drama Love.

Meanwhile, Rob says he'd never rule out a return to EastEnders and insisted Sean's exit, which saw him sneak out of a frozen lake in an eerie manner, didn't mean he was a ghost.

He laughed: "When did EastEnders become surrealist? I don't know why people thought Sean was a ghost!

"He was there, Roxy saw him and he wondered off. He's still out there, he hasn't died but he's probably in a mental home sometime.

"Maybe one day he'll come back with someone else playing him. I'd never say never to returning but at this point in time I can't see it happening because I've got so much on. But who knows what will happen in the future?"

The Radox Be-Selfish campaign encourages women to spend the extra hour the clocks going back brings later this month on themselves.

12/10/2009 | Timeless begins filming September 2010 and a better look at the teaser poster!
Posted by: Neil

Today I have an update on the film 'Timeless' which includes Rob in his first major lead role in a movie. I've been told that filming will begin in September 2010.

I have also been given a higher res pic of the film's teaser poster, released a few weeks ago. The poster does actually feature Rob himself! (so the guy in it is not just a model hired for the poster creation) Click the image below to view the full high res image!

According to Broadcast.co.uk, Rob will apear on the new series of Grouchy Men, which the Comedy Central channel has picked up for a 14-part series!

From Broadcast.co.uk:

Made by Liberty Bell, the production company behind the BBC’s Grumpy Old… franchise, the 14 x 30-minute series will hear from young talent, such as comedians, actors and presenters, who let members of the public into their secret tirades against living in Britain today.

Contributors featured in the series include Jon Richardson, Jack Whitehall, Carl Donnelly, Kevin Bridges and Russell Kane. It will also feature the likes of rock star Donny Tourette, actor Robert Kazinsky and Heat magazine editor Sam Delaney."

08/10/2009 | Robert Kazinsky to star in post-apocalyptic time-travel film, 'Timeless'
Posted by: Neil

Winner of both "Best Actor" at the 2009 British Soap Opera Awards for his role as Sean in Eastenders, Robert Kazinsky has become a household name in Britain as well as something of a European heartthrob. He's also on the verge of blowing up his feature film career what with starring roles in the George Lucas produced WWII epic Red Tails and, we've just discovered, Michael Bartlett's upcoming time travel thriller, Timeless (script review).

Here's what Bartlett had to tell us about Robert Kazinsky:

"I think he is one of the most talented actors of his generation, and he has actually been attached since February 2009, long before he landed Red Tails.

I actually wrote the film with him in mind, so very pleased he is attached. He is going to be huge and his presence and ability will make Warren a memorable character. He even made suggestions which enhanced the script. I love collaborative actors."

From what I know about this profect, I hear that filming will begin late this year, however I have a feeling it will probably be postponed to early 2010. Be interesting to see how this project works out, especially with rumours Katy Perry could take the part of the female lead......

07/10/2009 | Site Hiatus, News Roundup and the future!
Posted by: Neil

First off, biggest apologies to all Robert Kazinsky fans for the lack of updates to the site. Personal life kinda took over during 2008 and most of this year. However at the same time, with Rob leaving EastEnders and new projects progressing behind the scenes there hasn't been an huge amount to report. However there are a few things to mention and roundup.

First of which, is another reason for not so many updates.... Twitter! Rob has his own Twitter account where you can follow him and keep up to date with him! Click here to visit Rob's Twitter page!

This is the only official account Rob has online! So once again he does not use social networking sites like Facebook and Bebo! Any accounts you come across will be fan made.

Secondly, Rob has completed a couple of projects which include a short film 'Love', however I currently have no information if this will air on television. The other project is a small supporting role in George Lucas world war epic Red Tails, in which he plays the character of Chester Barnes. This film is due to hit cinema screens in 2010.

Finally a couple of personal appearances took place earlier this year. Please visit the forum for more details on these, with links to photo galleries of these events.

Now the future of the site........ the renewal of the hosting came up last month and I decided to renew the site for another year. I thought about it and decided to keep it going for all the fans that have supported us over the last couple of years. In time I might starting putting adverts on here to help pay for the site, but right now I prefer it ad free. I am also hoping to give the site it's new look that had been planned for quite a long time. However that will depend on how much time I have. In the meantime, I will try to update the front page as often as possible!

So be sure to keep coming back for Rob news!
